ZINFI Technologies has opened early access to a Model Context Protocol server for its Unified Partner Management platform, limiting availability to selected enterprise customers who request it through their ZINFI account team. Model Context Protocol, or MCP, is an open standard that lets AI agents connect to external systems through a single integration rather than a per-vendor connector. According to ZINFI, a connected agent can register deals, check market development fund balances, query partner tier qualifications, and retrieve partner profile data within the permissions a customer configures. The company says access is governed by role-based access control and OAuth 2.1 tokenization, with roles configured per organization before any agent connects. The capability spans partner ops, co-sell, onboarding, and incentives motions. ZINFI has not disclosed a general availability date and says broader release will follow in a later phase.

Our take: The direction of the dependency is what matters here. A PRM that speaks MCP stops being a destination partner teams log into and becomes a tool layer inside whichever agent the customer already runs, which is a real shift in where partner data does its work. It also raises the stakes on permission design, because a read-only agent that returns a stale MDF balance is an inconvenience while a write-capable one that registers the wrong deal is a channel conflict, and RBAC plus OAuth 2.1 govern what an agent may do without answering who reviews what it did. Early access is an honest label for that gap, and it means the proof is still outstanding.
